I remember that Patrick's goal was a pistol that Grandma could cock.

That would certainly be nice if it could be done but the laws of Physics are hard to break.

They had to use weaker springs and that gun never would fire the magnum pressure loads the gun was made for.

I don't know what they were trying to prove with that pistol.

Hello,
Here is a photo of what Tim came up with to have such an easy action to rack, the
recoil springs are very strong in this unit that I was operating in the video.
Tim came up with making the left side cut on the Bolt Helix cam a little bit further forward.
Please excuse this over processed photo.

I can't even describe how smooth & really very easy it is to rack this bolt.
Also to mention the video is NOT AI generated.
The bolt doesn't even stick at all when going slow, it just closes with the most beautiful positive lock-up sound.

Does the pistol fire and function correctly?

This is my 9-1/8" ( not 1"  Wacko ) 44 Auto Mag LLC barrel on my Pasadena frame.
The bolt & cocking piece & barrel are a set.
But in this video you'll see I'm able to just manage racking the bolt & just a wee bit
more difficult than the one in the other video, that was a 6" unit.
But what makes this possible is the Left side Helix cam cut is just a little bit longer cut.
At the end of my cut is not as smooth as the one on the other unit, you can compare
them & see the slight lip or up-ramp on mine.

The unit in the first video is unfired.

I have about 200  to 230 rounds through mine, it's the 9-1/8" barrel.

I'm not sure when but I'm planing on taking down some measurement data
on the Left Helix cam cut, length & width......I just don't know when.
