Where did you get the shotshell cartridge? I only ask because I made a bunch. Not only in 44 AMP, but before that, I bought a 44 AMP taper crimp die at a gunshow years ago because I was taking 45 colt, necking it to 44 mag, and loading 44 mag shotcapsules into the 45 colt and crimping them. I broke a lot with whatever crimper I was using and the 44 automag taper crimp die solved the problem. I know this sounds wierd, but it worked!!!! About 10 years later, CCI sold 45 caliber shot capsules seprate. And then I bought an Automag......... Oh, and I used to shoot a lot of snakes. And I still carry the blackhawk 45 Colt for that.....

You can shoot in California??? Thought they put a stop to that,,,
As for the 475 Wildey, so far as I know there were only 2 Bbls made to fit Auto Mags in 475 calibur, and Brian Maynard made both of them for me.
It was Impressive to shoot, but fair warning to any one thinking about such a conversion, its not for everyone,,,
