I'd like to see the chrono results.  Everyone told me not to shoot lead in the AMP as it causes problems.

Of course, I use to shoot the relatively cheap Remington JSP 158's in my 357 AMP and they were great.  They haven't been available for years.  With the cost of components (bullets/brass), I see the desire to switch to lead.   I'm working on casting some bullets, but not for the AMP.

Jason,

I’ve had good luck with cheap bulk JSP/JHP bullets from Everglades Ammo.

$129 for 500 quantity of 240gr JSP, with free shipping:

These out-of-stock 240gr JSP have a more Auto Mag friendly profile and are even cheaper:

Worth a look. I bought a billion 357 mag 158 JHP for Auto Mag and 357/44 Bain and Davis and they work great at 1700+ FPS.

pbcaster45,

Thanks for the Chrono Data!  Always good to have.

That's about the most powder I load in my Automags.  The one I shoot the most (well worn) doesn't take that much to cycle, so I load it down a little.

I looked that bullet up and it was originally for the 444 Marlin, but it is a nice looking Bullet.
