Another remembrance for fellow Auto Mag enthusiast. (not a recent loss, but one worthy of posting)

Spencer was passionate about Auto Mags, and was working diligently to build a collection with his brother Brent.

I rank the two of them as the friendliest and most pleasant I have known here.  Spencer just had such a polite and easygoing demeanor, and I remember him just being so east to talk with.  The first time I spoke with him (well before we all had the internet) he was immediately a trusting and respectful person.  It was as if he were my best neighbor ever, but one that shared my passion for Auto Mags.

Of my many conversations and some emails with Spencer, I specifically remember him asking about my newborn first child on several occasions.  Clearly there was much more to him than just an interest in firearms, he was a whole and kind person who acted like an adult and was taught manners and respect.

Just a very classy guy who left us way to early,,,

We are fortunate his brother is still with us to carry on his memory and his passion.

Rest in Peace our brother Spencer.

thanks George once again you have me speechless and teary-eyed. my little brother lived a good life even though it may have been taken short...." but when the good Lord calls you home it's a hell of an amen". after his accident I rounded up all of his automag collection. oil it well and shove d it deep in the back of the safe, I didn't care if I ever looked at them again. His collection to him was like a newborn to you George. for he had no wife or kids. I would occasionally now and then get on the automag website here and on others just to scope things out. I remember seeing the letters GH years ago wondering if this was my brother's best friend...... only to find out I wish I wouldn't have waited so long. thank you George for being a dear friend!!    BDS

Brent,

No words I can write will ever do justice to Spencer, you had to have known him to appreciate the genuine, earnest, kind and fun guy he was.  And even then only his family knows all he was.  So while I the feel the loss of a friend, your loss is unique.  You are privileged to have had him in your lives, and have the memories you carry with you forever.

I find it interesting that something as unusual as the Auto Mag seems to bring such interesting people together.  Over the years I have met some wonderful people because of this interest we share in something few people have ever heard of.  And yet like a powerful magnet the Auto Mag continues to draw us together.

I am thankful for having known Spencer, and I’m happy you continue to be able to enjoy the passion the two of you shared in the Auto Mag.  He would be happy to know that you didn’t just sell everything off and try move on to some other hobby/interest.

He had big plans and dreams for the collection he wanted to build with you, and I know he would be smiling to see you are carrying on the dream.
