Are you concerned about the grinding/marred up accelerator block?
How's the rest of the gun and the frame?

Yes!! The rest of the gun looks pretty good. The barrell is a little frosted?

Not sure what you mean by frosted?
I mean if it's a good price and overall good shape, buy it.
How do the barrel/bolt lugs look?

Could be the lighting but the inside edge of the bolt lugs at 9 and 10:00 o'clock look a little questionable, maybe chipped ????

Yeah, Lee looks like they partly sheared off a couple lugs. New bolts aren't cheap either. How do the lugs look on the barrel extension?

Might be worth parts, depending on price, but if the barrel extension and bolt is toast, then it should be fairly cheap. Bolts Ain't Cheap.

URS-the only thing cheap about AM's is the talk! And sometimes that can cost u more than money. Check with Don Nixon bout the bolts. Last I talked to him he still had a few. But if the barrel ext. is busted up, like the bolt. You'd just be buying and expensive paperweight.

Larry, now that you won't buy this automag, go for the FNC sporter!!!!!!!
I just looked at his other auctions, and this FNC is a a good 'investment'.
FNC sporters are the semiauto version of our Belgian forces assault rifles. Super tough quality and even hard to find overhere......
Sorry for the hi-jack.

Well, if u knew someone who lived closed enough to it, u could have them check it out. Info in the add sounds good. But I'd have to see/have it inspected before final purchase. Hard to do with pics although they are better than most. Still u need to see the bolt & barrel ext too. Bolt can be replaced. Barrel lugs are not repairable so far as I know. U could buy a used barrel, but then your talking another $1200 or so. Bolts are 7 or 8 hundred. Plus whatever needs to be done to fit/mate them. Like I said, need to have the right to inspect and refuse if necessary. That's the only way I'd consider it. Fwiw

Why waste your money on the FNC when you can have an FAL???
223 vs 308 I dont see any reason to even consider the FNC given how good the FAL is.

Dont get me wrong, the 223 is ok for pest control (thats why I keep my AR)
But if you want to reach out and touch something, and not have it come charging back at you pissed off, then the 308 is in a whole different class than the 223.
And besides the 308 doesn't have that annoying "crackle" that leaves you ears ringing for days,,,

Well, that's the exact reason why I love my .50 Beowulf sitting over my AR15 lower. I personally never liked .223 (or 5.56mm NATO) due to the rack of "Oh! I'm shooting!!!" feeling...

Hey George,
You don't need to convince me about the best assault rifle in the world, nothing can beat the Fal......( or any other FN products),
I was just saying that the FNC rifles are hard to get, even in Belgium they would fight for one!
I do have some FAL's myself...............
and other FN toys...
oh, forgot to put the fifty in the picture

Luc,
Nice FAL collection, I assume they are all still automatic (ours are mostly semi automatic over here-stupid laws, but for the most part semi is fine in the FAL).
Nice Heavy Barrel, looks different than the Israeli Heavy Barrel, What is it?

Jason,
yes all weapons are fullauto, except for my 'shooter' fal which has to be semi only, or I cant shoot it at the range in Holland.
Don't get me wrong, overhere we have also stupid laws, that is only registerd gun collectors are allowed to posses full auto weapons. Without this special licence, the full auto's are classified as 'forbidden weapons'.
The heavy barrel Fal is what's called Fal O here. Or in French 'Fal lourd'.
Or do you mean the FN BAR D?
FAL-O:
and here the FN BAR-D with the slow and fast fire selector and quick change barrel.
Also the Bar-D is 30-06 and not 308 caliber.
(Ps, Jason send me your postal address in Pm or email please.)
