I decided to experiment with wet-molding to make an AM mag-pouch. Still in progress and bear in mind I'm no leather pro, but here's what we have so far:


Stitched-up:


Belt-loop in the back:



I'll finish it off tomorrow (if I feel like it) - fingers are sore from stitching.

A little more shaping done:


Lesson learned - don't be too enthusiastic with the belt-sander (top-left section).

Nothing like trying this oneself to develop a deeper appreciation/awe for holster-makers. While I had the needles out, I figured I should continue with holster #2 I started months ago, and added another row of stitches to get the welt in place. One thing led to another and now I just have some wet-molding to do:
