bought a new unit from Guns International # A06240, still with the FFL & will pickup around Aug. 20th
I'll post more after I pick it up.

TDE Auto Mag 160 .357 A.M.P.

Description:
Scarce and desirable TDE Auto Mag Model 160 .357 A.M.P. (AutoMag Pistol). Standard markings, ramp blade front sight and adjustable rear notch sight. Excellent condition with 98% of the original stainless steel finish and only slight handling marks. The giraffe bone stocks are in fine condition with a small crack on the bottom left hand near the grip screw. (This pistol will not fire or chamber .357 MAG) Total weight 53 oz. BBL: 6.5

WOW, dont think I have ever seen a factory barrel look like that, it really stands out. 

Most of the regular production Auto Mag barrels are shades of gray, not black.

Amazing work.

Thanks George .....some of us may not like it but just my own take on things & after seeing some Pasadena & TDE units with very dark label stencils like Jeffrey Kelley I seem to really like the darker look Beer

Not sure if we are looking at the same guns or not, but your work looks much darker than the others. Not just darker, but there is some additional tonal quality you have added that brings out a super strong contrast that is almost like gloss black paint.

Its really quite stunning.

Bet it would look great on a polished barrel.

Maybe the gloss that you are seeing could be the light oil coating I put on.
