Does the porting make much of a difference? Just wondered if it's worth it on a shooter." Had my shotgun done and not much of a diff. on that.

I'm not sure what use it would be on a long arm. For a pistol it reduces muzzle flip. It has gone in and out of fashion in some types of competition.

I have shot a 44 AMP which is magna ported and there is a noticeable difference in recoil and muzzle flip. It would depend on how much you shoot and what you are doing with the pistol to determine if it is worth it.

Kent Lomont and Lee Jurras both recommended porting the 44 AMP's but not the 357's.  At least for me, those are two pretty good recommendations.

Here is a pic of a Custom Rohrbaugh I have with a 2.9" barrel in 9 mm that has been ported.  I was very surprised at the amount of recoil reduction it has.

I have a 4" s&w 29 (44 Magnum) that has been mag-na-ported and love it. Makes shooting Magnum loads actually enjoyable.

No, Just resize starline brass with the sizing die, and trim to length.

Get some Sierra bullets and WW 296 and let the fun begin. I have a SSK TC barrel that shots like a laser at 50 yards with 170 gr bullets.
