Still have not heard one word about what these modifications are.  Some reason no one is discussing the actual pros/cons of the changes?

I would really enjoy hearing about what is proposed.

Could be they got some really new and creative ideas, or could be somethings that have been tried and may not be a good idea.

Maybe I'm missing something, but really hoped to see an interesting discussion about the mods. -Joe

Joe,
If you have time to call Patrick he will tell you what they are thinking about. The problem that I see is that they have not yet firmly decided what mods they definitely want to make vs what they WILL make.
All the best,

I have no problem waiting. Patrick said we'd all be called by Friday (today) to discuss the delay. Is this still the case? Only reason I ask is I have not received a call yet.

Thats kinda the opposite of what I was saying.

Everyone having a one on one discussion with Patrick or anyone is not helpful.  No offense to Patrick.

My point was it would be good for us all to see the list of planned changes and discuss them as a group.

First I think it would be far more interesting than some of the nonsense arguing I see here from time to time.

Second, getting input and feedback from people who have shot Auto Mags a lot and may have already tried some of these mods would be of benefit for all of us.

I'm sure Patrick and his team are working real hard to get it right, so lets get some solid discussions going about what changes they are thinking about and what some here may already know work or dont work.

But if we all call and have a bunch or different discussions no one is going to keep track of it all.

I think that is the most I ever typed in one sitting. Now I need a nap  -Joe

...and, as I predicted, treat these guns like Les Baer 1911s.  Load your mags short at first and use a light oil in the right places and then start shooting.

You'll have some bobbles at first and then.....presto....she starts running.

I was WHIPPED after 50 rounds NOT because the gun has horrible recoil, quite the contrary but just giving the gun something to recoil against really takes it out of you.

I couldn't stop shooting after just fifty rounds, though....oh no.  But after about 100 I just had to stop.  I was beat.

Now, again, these are literally an order of magnitude more precise than original guns....so they are going to take some breaking in.

Let me say that there is nothing that happened that I didn't expect AND AFTER A FEW MAGS, MY MAGS STARTED TAKING ANd RUNNING 7 ROUNDS.  Well, both took seven rounds but one of them is being a bitch....the other however is running like a champ!!!!

I'll get with AutoMag and get the offending mag switched out.  I was super happy that, all of the sudden, ZOOP...seven rounds, no problem.

Alright...I am beat.....more later.....

I'll leave you with this:

As I have said, "The AutoMag is not so much a pistol, as it is a monastic devotion."  and that is true to this day.....

If YOU do your part, these guns are going to put a SERIOUS smile on your face.

I LOVE THIS THING!!!

Just wondering if you have shot it again and the results?
THX

We are working on a document to show both the planned changes and as well as the possible one’s. As soon as I have something I will get it out.
