Here is a copy of the opening credits of the movie "Lord of War".  I think this is the best, gun related, special effects scene I have ever seen.  I ignore Nicolas Cages politics and the anti-gun theme of the movie.
The gun scenes with Terrence Hill in the "Trinity" movies are great too.   Enjoy:

still a very hard and controversial scene: the roulette scenes of the deer hunter, iconic and revolting at the same time, reality when reality was not so prevalent in media.

If you can turn off your brain from all your gun knowledge, watch a movie called "Shoot 'Em Up". I think its funny, but almost all the shots are "Hollywood" shots...not possible in real world.

Great call Doug.  It really is a Hollywood scene.  It must have been a struggle to film that.

Here is a link to one of the scenes......Enjoy.

Another modern movie that is a bit more believable, but still fun, is "Last man standing" with Bruce Willis. He carries dual 1911s and theres Tommy guns and I think even a BAR. I think its set in the 20s-30s, Chicago vs NY mob in a small southwest town.

Let the daggers fly, but after watching a lifetime of movies I really dont have too many memorable and outstanding scenes that I would post as "Iconic"

Even the infamous Dirty Harry scenes seem poorly scripted and acted, almost forced and like bad product placements.

Two exceptions, any scene where the Lone Ranger displays those Nickle Plated SAA's, and the truly unforgettable scene from the Good the Bad and the Ugly where Tuco builds his pistol in the gun shop.  From the first time I saw either the Lone Ranger with the twin Nickle Colts and the first time I saw the Tuco gun shop scene with my father, I was hooked.
