Maybe I'll have this carbine done this summer.  More info after I shoot it some more.

OK, I'll bite, 'cause no one else has so far.

Jest whut in tarnation is that?  (pretty good hillbilly accent for a Canuck eh?)

Looks like an Auto Mag, carbinized (yeah, I just invented that term) Wink ,
except the cocking piece is not original.  Custom made?
And you don't have your nice Shooters Grips on it.  I guess with a carbine, maybe the finger grooves are not as important?

Mucho nice Bruce.
I'll patiently wait for more details.

This is a project that got out of control.  Max introduced his carbine kit and I envisioned an Auto Mag that would look like a Luger Artillery Carbine.  It uses an 8mm cartridge.  Looking back, maybe it wasn't such a good idea.  A guy who works at a local shooting range has offered to buy it because he likes the way it shoots.  The special grips hide a clamp that is under them.  The clamp holds the stock mount.  Max just finished the cocking piece but the gun still needs its markings.  I'm still considering putting a Totenkopf on top of the receiver.  The other carbine I'm working to finish is a bright and shiny object.  Thanks for your comments.  Mark Miller may post an article on the carbines, if I finish them and write the article.
