Congratulations!

I remember the one you shot with the Wildey a few years ago.

Jerky and Sausage?
How far of a shot do you estimate? Was it in heavy brush or out in the open?

No jerky, but summer sausage, and all the usual cuts. I would guess around 40 yards, fairly open shot in low density woods. I just used a 240gr XTP, loaded with the 21gr of 296. Good load for anything I'm going to do.Wink

WAY TO GO!!   Man, I wish they would allow handgun hunting up here in Canuckistan. I can always dream. Maybe it's allowed in an alternate universe version of Canada, where liberal politicians with their heads in the sand don't get to influence gun laws.

Nice!  I missed one with the Automag a few years ago.  Not another chance recently.

"sand" ? ------- your way too kind!

I proudly sport a shirt that has this phrase on it and the description couldn't be closer to the truth:

Good deal! I'm way out in the flatlands where one guy 1/2 a mile away scares up a deer and another guy a mile away spots it and begins to drive the grid road as fast as he can - all the while your sitting back about 3/4 mile away and neither of them, or the deer see you and it hopefully starts running towards you and whom ever survives the circular firing squad gets to fight over whose bullet is in the deer's carcass! Ouch

Automag,.... I wish. Out here most of the 'Hill-Less Billies' use crazy 300 win mags, 7mm, 338 lap. etc.

Gotta get me one of those t-shirts. Of course I can already imagine all the gasps of shock and indignation and stammering, whiney protests from all the self-righteous, gun-scared, urbanite, granola-eating, spandex-clad, left-leaning, social-engineering morons who inhabit most of T.O. and voted for the dorks currently jangling the keys to our kingdom. Yeah, I definitely gotta get one of those shirts.     Sorry, Now back to our regularly scheduled Auto Mag hunting commentary, and congrats again to Omie. ;-
