So,  I have reached out to Bianchi/Safariland to see if they can make the X15 shoulder rig in 8.5 inch...however.....one of the subsidiaries is in Jacksonville, FL....so I am not exactly expecting a quick reply due to Irma.  ( Stay safe, Florida and Caribbean members!!! )

Any other sources for good holsters?  Some of the recommendations are of good quality but very poor delivery times and communications.

Anyone have an X15?  Is it any good?  Bianchi is NOT the holster maker of old...but I do have one or two current rigs that are decent.

You might have to save up a bit, but there's GOTTA be a custom maker near you that can make whatever you want!

There are a couple but from what I have heard the customer service isn't exactly stellar.

Hi desertmoon,
check "ebait" for the bianchi holsters. they show up from time to time.
I'm not sure it will fit the 8 and half barrel, but think this is a extra large x15.
The discription says 12 inch long holster:

Here are a few of the holsters that Bianchi used to make.  I called them in the 90's and asked if they could make a small run of the flap style holsters for me.  They said I needed a military contractors license or they couldn't do business with me.  I like the cavalry flap style holster the best.  It has a classic look that protects the gun pretty well.  Bruce

Sweeeeet!

Since my Auto Mag has the standard barrel length, my X-15 will be just fine should I ever need to rent a tux.

Hey, if you're dressing flashy, you need to accessorize to match!

BTW, the X-15 came off eBay, new in the blister pack. The printed materials included indicate a manufacture date around 1983...

Funny that I had an Uncle Mikes for my 6 7/8 Ruger MkII and it ended up a perfect fit for my Automag.  Sometimes things just work out, go figure.
