I only know the rough details of the XP story so I would appreciate anyone that can would fill in some specifics.
It was Bryan Maynard's brain child and came to prominence when Brian's XP 02 was featured on the cover of the June 85' edition of Guns & Ammo. For a while it was said Brian made about a dozen which were sold/given to some AMT executives. After Harry's death his XP-001 came to market which sparked a new story. Apparently Brian said he did not add a dash between the XP and the serial number on the guns he built which lead to speculation that a second batch of XP's were produced that had a dash between the letters and the numbers. I started collecting several years after that conversation I don't know if I have the details correct. I have seen pics of four XP's(attached). Brian's XP 02, Harry's XP-001, Walt Jones XP-013 and Greg Market's XP-024. Has anyone seen another? Pics? |
