hi,i have a couple questions about AMT and hardballers
1.i have seen a quite a few over the years and have noticed 3 different locations on the guns and was curious, what order of location was the company during their time of operation,as in where did they start and where were they when they went out of business. 2.concerning the hardballers,i have seen them with what i guess would be called the " standard " small parts but have recently picked one up that i dont think i have ever seen before so i thought it had some aftermarket parts installed so figured it would be a good shooter as it wasnt original, after getting it and noticing the picture on the manual cover matches mine exactly i have kinda changed my mind on the carrying and shooting of it.the parts i have noticed that are different are the extended slide stop, the 3 dot sights, extended mag release, wide spur hammer, the black plastic mainspring housing, black pins in the hammer and sear and the odd looking beavertail.also, the flat top of the slide is smooth rather than grooved like most i have seen.( mines an irwindale model with an "A" series serial number) 3.why did AMT go out of business ? was it just that nobody wanted them or some other reason,i personally like a full stainless handgun and always have. |
