Yesterdays session revealed more problems with the threaded accelerator pin. I’ll explain more after discussing with auto mag ltd.
Round count is 105.

I got my Classic Edition this weekend. It looks like it's going to need hotter loads than what I've seen posted elsewhere. Posted this info on my.automag.com also. Gun: Auto Mag LTD .44 AMP I learned today that the old loads posted by Kent Lomont and Lee Jurras in the 70s may not be as outlandish as I thought! I'm going to have to step up the powder charges until I get consistent slide lock. I probably should have waited until my gun arrived instead of making so much ammo. Still, can't complain until the gun is broken in. I haven't shot any groups yet, the target board at the range had been blasted into oblivion and it was way too hot for me! Just fired 5-rounds of each load to get some baseline data. I was not limp-wristing the gun, but the recoil springs are stout! Bullet: SBR 44 AMP 240 Grain Hornady XTP (Factory) Bullet: Sierra 180 gr. JHC Bullet: Hornady 200 gr. XTP-HP |

ES = Extreme Spread (velocity difference between highest and lowest shot)
SD = Standard Deviation (average variation of all shots fired)

I only fired 20 rounds yesterday and I may not have applied enough Auto Mag gun oil the first time. Took the gun down and lubed it again - could feel a difference. Hopefully that will aid function.

i can speak for the 180 gr bullet loads. My older gun, TDE North Hollywood, starts jamming at 28 gr and works real well at 28.5 to 29 gr for its loads. Not surprised you had problems with that one. I think the rest of the loads are on the light side as well. This is not too far from what I have seen with my gun and it is old and well shot so a new gun will likely be a bit stiffer and require more than you loaded. I think there are some here who have stated the SBR stuff is pretty hot and I know that was a prime testing ammo for the new guns.

I shot ten test rounds thru the gun tonight and it functioned 100%. You live and learn! Lube, lube, lube!
Much easier to pull the bolt back too.
