One of the neater things the Factory did was produce the "LAST" sets. These were a "C" series solid bolt gun produced with a special "LAST" serial number and included an 8 1/2" standard barrel chambered in 44 AMP. Also a series of four more 10 1/2" standard barrels in 357 AMP, 41 JMP, 44 AMP, and 45 Win Mag. They were made for J&G Sales in Arizona and there were to be 50 sets. They did not sell well because of the cost and less than 50 were made. Here is a boxed set of the 10 1/2" barrels. |

All the barrels had the standard "AMC" and "Covina" markings. Notice the 41 is marked AMP instead of JMP. Lee Jurras said it was done my mistake at the shop. Others say Harry did it that way because he was mad at Lee for not taking all the 41 JMP marked Custom 100 barrels |

The bottom of all the barrel lugs were stamped with the number corresponding to the set they belonged to. |

Wonderfull collection!
Amazing you have some of the first AND last production AutoMag's. Thanks again for sharing this info and pictures. On a side note, anyone knows what happend with that last set of BAM's sold many years ago? If I remember correct, there were 5 with blue velvet cases and 5 with red velvetcases.

Seems to me they couldn't give these away when J & G was selling them. And now they are collectables. Hard to figure. Back then J & G had all kinds of odd stuff from Jurras, lots of barrels and a few guns. Its amazing to see how much some of them are selling for today. -Joe
