I don't imagine a lot of guys here have fooled around with the 9mm Win Mag cartridge, but the case is quite a bit shorter than a standard 1.3" "Magnum".
Couple that with the advent of the .357 Sig which required 9mm bullets with a shorter front-end, and today you end up with a 9mm Win Mag cartridge that is WAY too short (OAL) for the magazine and feedway of the pistol. Enter the 350 Legend, with it's goofy-ass .355" rifle bullet.....perfect for the 9mm Winchester Magnum. You can also use the 350 Legend case to convert a 30 Carbine Automag III to 9mm Win Mag. The WinMag barrels are readily available from Numrich, but you would need to fit the barrel's hood (width) to your 30 carbine slide. Cut the 350 cases to 9mm WinMag length, and you're good to go. The rebated rim of the Legend case will fit in the 30 carbine Automag III breach face. Tony |

Run it up, until you blow it up, then back it down a bit.

How does it shoot? Awesome looking bullet.
I assumed you pulled the bullets, shortened the cases and reloaded them using 9mm magnum data in a converted 30 carbine? Or did you just use the bullets to load 9mm magnum brass for a 9mm magnum? |
