Has anyone tried R.C.C. 357 Auto Mag brass . It's very expensive at $4.09 each 50 minimum order Here's what Jeff Roberson said at RCC, LLC https://www.rccbrass.com/product/357-auto-mag/ "Thanks, for your email.
Yes, we manufacture the .357 Auto Mag on our CNC lathes and mills, once
we receive an order. There is a 50 piece minimum per order. Let me know
if we can do anything for you." |

Unless you just have to have .357 Auto Mag on the case head then you're must better off buying something like these.

All you need to do is run 44 AMP brass into a 357 AMP die.
Make sure that the headspace is correct for your gun, it does vary from pistol to pistol.

Yes the head-space is very critical , I'm using Starline 44 brass since I use it anyway for my 44. I thought it was very interesting to see if anyone is spending 4.09 a round........OMG !

I would pass on that Reed ammo. Look at the length of the neck. That ammo has excessive head space written all over it.

Run it up, until you blow it up, then back it down a bit.

...and don’t forget that the 44 brass ‘grows’ when formed into 357, so you will have to trim each case after forming.

When i did my brass by forming Starline 44 into 357 the length did not grow enough to require trim for my barrel, did not need to trim until after second firing. YMMV

When you are up to your neck in alligators it is hard to remember your original intention was to drain the swamp
