Yup, barrel lock is definitely fubar'd!
Also looks like mag is missing?
....wonder what the cause of the barrel lock failure was - or is it missing /lost and the guy just jammed a pin in there?
....would be nice if someone knew how to disassemble and post a pic to see what shape the frame is.

but hey, it's an auction and might be a good value as a parts gun?

I expect this gun had an out-of-battery firing.  The barrel latch and probably the bolt and cocking-piece are also broken.  I wrote an article about this problem that I posted here once, titled, "What every Gunsmith should know About The Auto Mag."  Here is the part about the barrel latch problem:

"Catastrophic Consequences Here

Now comes a surprise. The barrel latch was designed incorrectly. First it doesn’t fit into the recess in the frame properly and has to be fitted by filing off quite a bit of metal. Here is the big problem. The right hand side of the barrel latches “tang” is likely to rub on the side of the recess in the barrel assembly. Sometimes the factory ground a sixteenth of an inch off of the right hand side of the tang to prevent it from rubbing on the barrel

.

Keep in mind that the barrel has some lateral movement and combine this with no clearance or lubrication between the barrel latch and the barrel; it is just a matter of time before the barrel latch tang breaks off.

One scenario is, while firing the gun the barrel latch tang breaks off due to rubbing on the barrel assembly. If the broken tang jams the barrel and prevents it from moving forward, the gun will not go into battery and you will know your gun is broken.

A second scenario is that the tang breaks off and falls into a recess in the frame, the barrel goes forward and falls off of the frame and into the dirt. Again you know your gun is broken.

Here is the problem scenario. The tang breaks off and allows the barrel to move too far forward but it doesn’t fall off of the frame.

With the barrel too far forward, the bolt rotates ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE RECEIVER LUGS. The cartridge is held snugly into the bolt-face by the extractor and the cartridge is supported by partially being in the chamber. You fire and destroy the gun. This is the “out of battery” firing you often hear of.

The back of the bolt, the bolt rotation pin and the cocking piece will break. Sometimes the entire back of the frame is blown off of the gun. Sometimes the ring on the frame that holds the bolt will be bent backwards or is broken off entirely. When a gun is found with the above problems and has a broken barrel latch, it is the case that the barrel latch caused the problem.

Maybe while shooting, you notice that the barrel latch is un-latched. You re-latch it and shrug it off thinking that maybe you accidently hit it or the detent spring or plunger is weak or dirty. Do not take this lightly.

Check the barrel latch to barrel clearance on your Auto Mag shooter and re-check it if you change barrels."

"How about those consecutive serial numbered Pasadena guns that have been severally pitted by the foam and have been hideously sand blasted which only accentuates the pitting."  I have been following that auction.

I had one B series Automag with a 8.5" factory vent rib barrel, and the barrel latch would rotate to the unlocked position when the last shot was fired.  The barrel nearly came off the frame on several occasions.
