What do you know about the AMC Model 280 10.5" barrel? It was a replacement at the time that the company with belly-up. It on an original TDE Model 180.

Pete,
What caliber?
I mean they were all standard barrels, and came on "C" or "LAST" frames I believe, but there were a lot of extras.
I have a 10.5" in 45 Win Mag. Shoots great.

Not that I have shot mine a lot, but no trouble, other than the Win 230 gr FMJ's wouldn't cycle the action.
The Winchester Super X 260 gr worked great, they now only load the Supreme, I'd rather have the Super X in the Silver Box. Hope they do a run again sometime.

It is a 44 Caliber. I just was wondering why they changed barrels, probably out of stock on the original vent rib.

If you wanted a longer barrel, one could only get an 8 1/2 or 10 1/2 inch NON vent rib barrel.. |
