I had one of my AMT Longslides mirror polished, and wanted to get some faux pearl or bone or mother-of-pearl grips for it - I'll probably have to buy the grips online, so I'm wondering are the AMT Longslides  standard as far as the grips they take??  Thanks !

Are you talking about the Harballer 1911 model in .45 Auto?

If so, it looks like they'll take a standard 1911 grip.  I have looked at several pics of them with just about every type of grip that is normally available.

It should.  The regular AMT style 1911's take standard 1911 grips.  Never owned a longslide though I think the frame is the same

The only difference with the longslide is the bbl. length and associated bbl. parts that need to be longer. All other parts interchange w/ 5" Hardballer and most other 1911s. Incl. the grips.

I wanted one back in the day but a pistolsmith in the area told to buy it but replace all the parts with Colt factory. About 1977.
